Manifeste? is a single-screen video consisting the language section of Hypothesis. It records the process of an article being continuously translated. It translates Hugo Bell’s Dada Manifesto (1916) into 90 languages available at Google translation. Each translation brings about distortion of the original text. Having been translated 90 times, the messages of the original work are completely lost in the last translated version, which is too abstract to be comprehensible.
